Eastlink is currently seeking a Service Technician to join our team in Sechelt, BC. The successful candidate is required to reside in or be willing to relocate to this management area.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized Electronics program.
  • Professional, customer-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced customer-facing work environment.
  • Committed to fostering a safe work environment and proactively demonstrates Occupational Health & Safety work safe practices.
  • Able to travel throughout the region.
  • Valid driver’s license coupled with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to manually lift, push and pull up to 90 lbs.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions (including snow, rain & cold).
  • Ability to kneel, crouch and work above shoulders on occasion.
  • Ability to work safely aloft from a ladder, pole gaffs, or bucket truck near energized equipment and/or power lines.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry repair and maintenance experience.
  • NCTI or SCTE training.

Responsibilities

  • Providing superior customer service to our customers through the identification, troubleshooting and correction of service problems in the outside plant for both forward and return path.
  • Addressing any faults found from the mainline through to the customer’s premises, which would impair the operation of Eastlink’s services.
  • Maintaining our outside plant network in a timely and effective way.
  • Working towards the ultimate goal of providing the superior services that Eastlink is known for.
