About The Position

Solenis is seeking a Service Technician to support sales and service efforts in the Akron/Massillon, Ohio area. This role involves conducting basic lab testing, installing and maintaining equipment, performing chemical transfers, and monitoring processes at customer sites. The technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, documenting results, supporting customer operations, and ensuring safe practices within an industrial environment. The position offers opportunities to perform routine testing, interface with customers, manage product inventory, adjust chemical feed rates, identify optimization opportunities, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment. Collaboration with site teams and customers is key to ensuring optimal program performance and satisfaction. Mechanical and electrical equipment repairs may also be required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the Akron/Massillon territory.

Nice To Haves

  • Chemical handling, water treatment, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer sites, including data entry and contributing to service report preparation.
  • Interface directly with customers to identify and address issues related to chemical programs or equipment performance.
  • Manage product inventory, including deliveries to process units and offloading chemicals into customer storage tanks.
  • Adjust chemical feed rates based on routine testing and monitoring to ensure optimal treatment performance.
  • Alert site managers or support engineers to customer issues, operational concerns, or opportunities for improvement and assist with troubleshooting efforts.
  • Conduct expanded process testing to identify dosage optimization opportunities or mechanical impacts affecting performance.
  • Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment.
  • Partner with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs as needed.
