About The Position
The Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of customer-owned equipment. Safety equipment may include SCBA’s, Level A Suits, Emergency Exit Signs & Lights, Portable & Fixed Gas Detection, Emergency Eyewash & Showers, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Monitors, Fire Hydrants, Fire Hose testing, etc. All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively
- Possess problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be results-orientated and highly productive
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly inspections & maintenance on fire extinguishers
- Fire hose testing
- Functional testing of Scott, MSA, and Honeywell (Survivair) SCBA’s
- Perform inspections on emergency shower & eyewash stations
- Maintain demo and rental equipment
- Enter service orders into the order entry system and prepare equipment for shipment
- Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and coordinate paperwork
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer personnel air monitoring equipment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer fixed gas detection equipment
- Other duties as assigned
