About The Position

Beztak, a national Real Estate Development, Construction, and Property Management company, is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for ensuring the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The role involves maintaining and caring for equipment, completing emergency repairs, preparing vacant units for move-in, documenting replacements and repairs, performing daily pool/spa inspections (in season), routine maintenance on air conditioning units, and noting building deficiencies to the Supervisor. The Service Technician will also assist with various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping, complete service requests, and operate company or personal vehicles for job duties. The role requires working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, and resolving conflicts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or related Vocational Training and/or equivalent work experience
• 1-year experience in similar field required

Nice To Haves

• HVAC knowledge
• EPA certification

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for equipment as may be necessary for its continuous operation. Completes emergency repairs as may be required to prevent damage or deterioration
• Prepares vacant units for move in in accordance with company standards, including manual labor to perform carpet cleaning, apartment cleaning, and interior painting with limited use of outside contractors
• Documents replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, etc., in all units. Also tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (full paint or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs
• May perform daily pool/spa inspections (in season) to ensure proper water chemistry and cleanliness of pool/spa area, and to ascertain needed repairs or improvements
• Performs routine maintenance and repair on central and/or individual air conditioning units as authorized or directed by Supervisor
• Notes building deficiencies or needs to Supervisor in writing
• Adheres to established policies related to fair housing
• Maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current residents, vendors, and all outside contacts
• Assists other Service Technician(s), and Groundskeeper(s) in the maintenance/ cleanliness of the common areas
• Scheduling / contracting vendors to perform apartment turnover services as appropriate
• Assists with various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment
• Completes service requests in a timely and accurate manner, with thorough completion notes documented
• Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle to perform job duties. Must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes
• Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills
