John Jones Auto Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and dedicated to providing high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles while delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Automotive technician experience required (dealership experience preferred)
- ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with dealership systems, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a shop environment
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities
- Perform accurate diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
- Complete repairs and maintenance including brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, heating/AC, electrical systems, and drivability concerns
- Conduct multi-point inspections and document findings clearly
- Perform manufacturer-recommended services and warranty repairs
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair needs, parts requirements, and timelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols, dealership procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
- Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs
- Stay current on training, certifications, and new automotive technologies
