Service Technician - Repair Service
About The Position
SouthernCarlson is seeking a Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment, and helping customers keep their tools running efficiently. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys solving problems while delivering excellent service. The Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electric power tools, provide guidance on tool operation and maintenance, process customer orders, complete documentation, partner with the sales team, and deliver professional customer service.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Experience repairing small engines, construction tools, or pneumatic/electric power tools preferred
- Previous experience in construction or industrial supply industry is a plus
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and electric power tools including nail guns and staple guns
- Provide customers with guidance on proper tool operation and maintenance
- Process and fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Complete documentation such as work orders, parts orders, and service records
- Partner with the sales team to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction
- Deliver professional, friendly customer service during all service interactions
