About The Position

Join our team as a Service Technician (Taping Experience Required)! Are you a skilled taper with a passion for quality work and exceptional customer service? We're looking for a Service Technician to join our team and bring their expertise in taping, mudding, interior systems, and repair services to our valued clients! This position includes weekend hours, night shifts, and on-call work. As a Service Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering top-notch taping and mudding solutions to building owners, property managers, and tenants.

Requirements

  • Journeyman-level expertise in taping/mudding.
  • Drywall installation and painting experience.
  • Carpentry skills and blueprint reading experience.
  • Valid G driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Safety Certifications or willingness to obtain: WSIB, Working at Heights, and Worker H&S Awareness in 4 Steps.
  • A professional, reliable, safety-conscious, and self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Union member or willingness to join.

Responsibilities

  • Execute commercial drywall installations, taping/mudding, painting, and repairs.
  • Manage client communications to ensure smooth scheduling and updates.
  • Prepare and review job scopes, ensuring materials and tools are ready.
  • Provide thorough documentation, including photos and signed work orders.
  • Build strong client relationships with outstanding customer service.
