Paid Apprentice - Service Technician
About The Position
A&B Business Solutions is seeking motivated individuals for their Paid Apprentice - Service Technician program. This program is designed for high school graduates interested in a technology-focused career without the immediate need for a college degree. Apprentices will receive paid on-the-job training, both hands-on and classroom-based, to learn how to perform as a Photocopy/Printer Repair Technician. The role involves supporting a printer and copier customer base, performing field repairs and maintenance, managing service calls, maintaining repair records, and handling car stock inventory. The company emphasizes customer service, technological aptitude, and a hands-on learning approach. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Natural mechanical or electronic ability
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Present themselves well
- Interested in technology and comfortable around it
- Exceptional listener
- Hands-on learner

Responsibilities
- Attend classroom learning about the products you’ll be servicing.
- Shadow an experienced Service Technician. After time, perform technician responsibilities while shadowed by an experienced Service Technician.
- Provide an outstanding customer experience through great communication and support.
- Perform field repairs and maintenance on various office equipment to manufacturers specifications
- Manage your day completing service calls to meeting customer expectations and company processes
- Maintain accurate repair records for time, part, and company assets
- Manage your car stock inventory
- Performs other duties as directed by Service Management
- Ability to make decisions, use the tools available and the resources of others to accomplish objectives
- Able to work comfortably with a variety of customers and associates
- Flexible attitude and versatility in learning
- High level of comfort using computers, tablets, phones, or other handheld devices
