The shift is Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm, with a shift premium of 15% for hours worked between 5:00 pm and 5:59 am and/or any hours worked on weekends. As our next Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping the customer's fleet moving. We are looking for an energetic, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with us.

Requirements

  • Typically four (4) years of experience
  • Completed a diesel focus technical school program
  • Able to complete designated tasks on time achieving quality requirements
  • A valid state or Federal A/C certification
  • CDL

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary repairs on customer vehicles, lease units and company inventory
  • Diagnose, disassemble, clean and inspect engines
  • Diagnose, disassemble, clean, overhaul, repair, rebuild, and adjust clutches, differentials and power divider systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, braking systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, steering system, emission and hydraulic systems
  • Submit and complete technical reports and documentation
  • Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights
  • Assist in the rebuild and overhaul of engines
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Maintain a diplomatic and courteous manner in all dealings with customers and fellow employees
  • Expand technical abilities through participation in training and development opportunities
  • Timely completion of all assigned training, including at least 90% of assigned Peterbilt Training
  • Possess a valid state or Federal mobile A/C certification
  • Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
  • Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business
