About The Position

ProLift Toyota Material Handling is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician to provide world-class maintenance and repair services to forklifts and material handling equipment. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electric and internal combustion forklifts, troubleshooting various systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer uptime and equipment reliability. The ideal candidate is a professional who takes pride in problem-solving, delivering exceptional customer service, and working independently.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience repairing industrial equipment, heavy equipment, automotive diesel, agricultural, or material handling equipment, required
• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (may require medical certificate or CDL)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift, push and pull up-to 75lbs and work in various environments such as outdoor rain or snow conditions

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education, preferred
• Experience with diagnostic software, preferred
• Toyota forklift repair experience
• ASE, EVT, or OEM certifications
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Battery – electric and lithium-ion equipment experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electric and internal combustion forklifts
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, drivetrain, and electronic systems
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
• Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software
• Complete accurate service documentation
• Recommend repairs that improve customer uptime and equipment reliability
• Maintain bay, tools, and inventory
• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing ProLift professionally
