Service Technician/Roofing Specialist
About The Position
Dryer Vent Wizard is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, helping customers, and earning additional income through performance-based commissions. This is more than a maintenance position. Our technicians serve as trusted experts who inspect, diagnose, repair, install, and improve dryer vent systems while educating customers on safety, efficiency, and code compliance. If you have experience in Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, appliance repair, maintenance, or handyman services—and enjoy interacting with customers—this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working with tools and equipment
- Ability to climb ladders up to 40 feet
- Ability to work in attics, rooftops, and crawlspaces
- Ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities
- Drive to residential, commercial, and multi-family properties
- Perform dryer vent inspections, cleanings, repairs, reroutes, and installations
- Diagnose airflow restrictions, code violations, and safety concerns
- Educate customers on recommended solutions
- Provide service estimates and repair recommendations
- Perform hands-on work using tools, ladders, and specialized equipment
- Build trust with customers and deliver a 5-star service experience
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Document completed work and inspection findings
