About The Position

Requirements

Minimum of two years of Dealership experience.
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Manufacturer Training
State of Nevada Emission Certification 1G or 2G
Valid Driver's License With Clean Driving Record

Responsibilities

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Communicate immediately with the service advisor if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Road tests vehicles when required to ensure the vehicle is repaired.
Maintain all online training and certifications as Porsche outlined.
Keeps abreast of Porsche technical bulletins in the PPN Portal.
Reports shop or special tool defects or malfunctions to Shop Foremen.
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean—Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keeps shop work area neat and clean.
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as received.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Operates all tools and equipment safely.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Other tasks as assigned.
