About The Position

At Blast Cleaning Technologies (BCT), you'll help build some of the most advanced shot blast equipment in the world right here in Milwaukee, then travel to customer facilities across North America to install, start up, troubleshoot, and support the very machines you helped create. This is an opportunity to become a highly skilled technician who sees a project from individual components to a fully operational machine producing results for customers. This position spends approximately 50% of the time in Milwaukee building and assembling equipment and 50% of the time traveling to customer sites installing, starting up, servicing, and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys both hands-on mechanical work and customer interaction. This individual will help transform fabricated and machined components into fully functioning machines and then travel to customer facilities to ensure successful installation and operation.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of industrial assembly, millwright, maintenance, or field service experience
  • Experience with heavy industrial equipment
  • Overhead crane and rigging experience
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Welding experience (preferred but not required)
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Equipment installation or startup experience
  • Previous customer-facing field service experience

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex industrial machinery from fabricated and machined components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Perform advanced mechanical assembly of heavy industrial equipment
  • Verify assemblies meet BCT quality standards
  • Assist with machine testing and final inspections
  • Operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely
  • Travel throughout North America to install and commission BCT equipment
  • Perform machine startup and troubleshooting activities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment issues
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections
  • Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and timely
  • Support customers during installations and service visits
  • Support internal and external customers
  • Participate in ongoing safety and technical training
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Demonstrate and promote BCT's PACT values
  • Collaborate with Assembly, Engineering, Service, and Sales teams
