About The Position

The Service Technician/Mechanic is responsible for minor and major repairs on aggregate and mining equipment, including crushers, screeners, and conveyor systems. The role includes work in both the shop and the field, including responding to assigned field service calls. Employees must follow all safety policies and be able to take direction in both settings.

Requirements

• Possess mechanical knowledge of various types of aggregate equipment.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Ability to take direction in the shop and field.
• A “can do” attitude and a sense of urgency.
• Strong communication skills.
• Moderate computer skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on equipment repair experience.
• Both shop and field work are required.

Nice To Haves

• Mining background and familiarity with aggregate equipment.
• Welding skills.
• Dealer or manufacturer training.
• CDL.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose mechanical problems on aggregate equipment.
• Evaluate mechanical failures, determine their causes, and complete timely and effective repairs.
• Respond to field service calls as assigned.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
