About The Position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is seeking a skilled Mechanic / Technician with related experience to perform maintenance and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry, Aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment. This role involves working on truck chassis, diesel, hydraulics, and diagnostics. The position is Monday to Friday, day shift, with overtime as needed and limited Saturdays. The company is a leading provider of specialized truck and heavy equipment solutions, designing, selling, renting, and servicing equipment for utilities, telecom, construction, and rail industries.

Requirements

3 years plus experience with utility truck equipment, diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment.
Experience with Hydraulics, Electrical, Drive Train, Suspension.
Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Must have your own tools.
Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity.

Nice To Haves

CDL a plus
Background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform PMs, maintenance and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry and aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment.
Work on truck chassis, diesel, hydraulics, diagnostics, and electrical systems.
Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, with background in hydraulics and electrical being a plus.
Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
Other duties as assigned.
