About The Position

ALL Crane Service, located in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Service Technician & Mechanic - Truck & Trailer. Hands-on experience with heavy duty Class 8 semi-tractors and trailers required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a $300 candidate sign-on bonus payable after 100 days of successful employment.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with heavy duty Class 8 semi-tractors and trailers required
Must have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background
Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
Able to lift 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
Experience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desired

Responsibilities

Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment
Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
Able to work with diagnostic equipment and or train for troubleshooting and repairs
Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
Other duties as assigned
