About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the apartment maintenance technician is responsible for performing repairs and upgrades to keep the apartment community in top condition. This includes all aspects of the physical asset; general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, and preventive maintenance of the apartment community and amenities and grounds.

Requirements

• At least one year experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Multifamily environment or a background in construction or Handyman experience
• Must be available for on-call emergency response
• Must be knowledgeable of OSHA and other applicable Industrial regulations
• Must have own basic hand tools and portable drill, larger power tools provided by the property
• Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, MS Outlook
• Must possess a positive attitude and adaptability
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• CPO and HVAC EPA Universal Certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies for repairs, by informing the Maintenance Supervisor of needed replacement stock before it is depleted
• Work within deadlines for weekly apartment make-ready and service request schedules.
• Along with the Maintenance Supervisor, maintain the water features and amenities of the community according to the highest appearance and health standards
• Complete resident/management requests and service requests for occupied apartments.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing systems, air conditioning/heating/electrical systems, apartment material/maintenance requests
• Determine the proper course of action to resolve complex issues under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including, but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs, replacements, painting, drywall, tile, and cabinetry
