About The Position

Vac-Tech, a Busch Vacuum Solutions company, is a leading re-manufacturer of vacuum pumps and gate valves for various industries. They have an immediate direct-hire opportunity for a Service Technician 2 at their service center in Richardson, Texas. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. A Service Technician 2 is responsible for the disassembly of industrial equipment in the vacuum pump remanufacturing process. This role is for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with mechanical aptitude looking to join a great team.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • High School graduate or General Education Degree
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required)
  • Must be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE

Responsibilities

  • Remove pumps from the frame and disassemble pump components minimizing any damage to components during disassembly per the prescribed timeframe.
  • Clean industrial pumps using cold dip parts, cleaner, hot dip parts cleaner, high-pressure parts washer, bead blaster, and sandblaster.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on shop equipment as part of the Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) program.
  • Safely and productively operate material handling equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste as directed by Management.
  • Maintain measurable and productive output as defined by production goals.
  • Follow the provided training and procedures outlined in the written operating procedures of our internal proprietary system.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures while reporting all unsafe activities and concerns to the supervisor, safety officer, or human resources.
