The Service Foreman / Service Tech is a hands-on field leader responsible for executing commercial roofing service work and leading a crew of technicians on day-to-day repair and maintenance jobs. This role owns the safety, quality, productivity, and documentation of every service call from start to finish. The right candidate is a strong technical roofer who has earned crew respect through their craft, sets the safety standard on every jobsite, and develops their team while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Requirements

4+ years of commercial roofing service experience with at least 2 years leading field crews.
Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems including EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, Modified Bitumen, and low-slope metal.
Proven ability to diagnose complex roof leaks and determine effective repair solutions.
Track record of leading service operations with zero OSHA recordables and TRIR under 1.0.
Experience directing technicians in the field, coordinating work, and meeting productivity and quality standards.
Experience communicating repair recommendations to building owners or property managers.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and remain on feet for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying weather conditions.
Comfort working on commercial roof systems and in elevated or confined work areas.

Responsibilities

Lead a service crew on day-to-day commercial roofing service calls, repairs, and maintenance work across EPDM, PVC, TPO, BUR, Modified Bitumen, and low-slope metal systems.
Diagnose roof leaks and complex repair scenarios, scope the work, and direct the crew to execute repairs correctly the first time.
Enforce safety standards on every jobsite, including JHA completion, fall protection, and proper PPE use, with a goal of zero OSHA recordables.
Identify and document additional repair opportunities on site and communicate recommendations clearly to customers and the office.
Ensure complete jobsite documentation (photos, repair summaries, job notes) is submitted within 24 hours to support accurate invoicing.
Train and develop service technicians, building their ability to diagnose and complete complex repairs independently over time.
