As our next Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping the customer's fleet moving. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • For entry level, some previous experience in automotive repair or heavy-duty truck maintenance is required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred, or ability to obtain.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.
  • For an experienced level, one must have completed a diesel-focused technical school program and 2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of commercial trucks, including engine diagnostics.
  • Equivalent experience and formal education will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to ensure accurate assessments of maintenance needs.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards, adhering to regulatory obligations.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, or parts, showcasing innovative problem-solving skills and techniques.
  • Evaluates service and parts options to contain costs, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness in finding effective solutions.
  • Controls corrosion and completes winterization procedures to prolong the lifespan of vehicles and ensure responsible use of resources.
  • Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs, facilitating transparency and accountability in customer interactions.
  • Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by staying updated on regulations and standards through ongoing education and training.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the safety and well-being of yourself, colleagues, and customers.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.
  • Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business.
  • Must successfully pass a baseline medical evaluation and a respiratory fit test (per OSHA standards) to ensure safe use of PPE, and maintain safety-compliance guidelines during daily operations.
