Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Automotive repair experience: Class B: 3–5 years
  • Automotive repair experience: Class A / Master: 5+ years
  • ASE certifications required: Class B: Minimum of 3 ASE certifications
  • ASE certifications required: Class A: 6+ ASE certifications or ASE Master Technician status
  • Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle issues with minimal to no supervision (based on level)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Must provide own tools

Nice To Haves

  • Subaru or import experience
  • Manufacturer certifications
  • Experience with drivability and advanced diagnostics
  • ASE Master Technician certification (or actively working toward it)

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle concerns across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Complete repairs including engine, drivability, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems based on skill level
  • Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work and customer safety
  • Accurately document repairs, test procedures, and time using company systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring customer vehicles are treated with care
  • Follow all safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Stay up to date with Subaru technical training and bulletins
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members to ensure an exceptional customer experience
