About The Position

Responsible for performing maintenance on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guideline. This position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. The background check may include verification of criminal history, employment history, educational credentials, and professional references.

Requirements

Possess valid A/C certification
Possess 3 valid ASE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK Certifications
Possess a valid CDL license for the state of Georgia and valid A/C certification
Experience with Hydraulic Clutch, Diagnostics and Repair
Experience with Hydraulic Brake Diagnostics and Repair
Experience with Basic Driveline Repairs
Experience with Basic Cab and Chassis Electrical
Experience with Transmission Remove and Replace
Experience with Differential - Remove and Replace
Experience with Spring Suspension Repair
Experience with Exhaust System
Experience with 609 Certification
Experience with Diagnostics and Repair Air Sys.
Experience with Air Leak Diagnostics and Repair
Experience with Clutch Diagnostics and Replacement
Experience with Charging and Starting Systems
Experience with A/C System
Experience with Cooling System Diagnostics and Repair
Experience with Basic Electronics
Experience with Air Valves
Experience with Driveline Replacement
Experience with Set Valve Lash

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
Ensures that repairs are completed with complete and accurate manner as per supervisor or work order instructions.
Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.
Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.
Tags all parts as required and follows all warranty procedures set for the by each OEM.
Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
Keeps customer vehicle clean during repair process and after repairs are complete.
Must complete 100% of on-line Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified in Cascadia, M-2, Western Star, DT12, Detroit Axles, CNG Systems.
