About The Position

Peach State Truck Centers is seeking a Service Technician C to perform repairs and diagnostics on various truck systems for class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles. This role requires adherence to OEM and company guidelines, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining efficiency standards. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hydraulic clutches, brakes, drivelines, basic cab and chassis electrical systems, transmissions, spring suspensions, and exhaust systems. A strong understanding of diagnostic tools and procedures is essential. The position is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Requirements

• Possess valid A/C certification OR Possess 3 valid ASE HEAVY DUTY TRUCK Certifications OR Possess a valid CDL license for the state of Georgia and valid A/C certification

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Ensures that repairs are completed with complete and accurate manner as per supervisor or work order instructions.
• Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.
• Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy as required.
• Tags all parts as required and follows all warranty procedures set for the by each OEM
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges
• Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
• Keeps customer vehicle clean during repair process and after repairs are complete.
• Complete 100% of on-line Freightliner Technician Training to become Systems Certified in Cascadia, M-2, Western Star, DT12, Detroit Axles, CNG Systems
