About The Position

AMERI-CANS is looking to hire a part-time Service Technician at our location in Manassas Park, VA. This is a key role leading the day-to-day execution of a rapidly growing portable sanitation company that takes pride in doing things the right way and executing the impossible. Owned by Marine Corps veterans, we have a dynamic team of technicians, operations and maintenance staff that hold the highest standard of performance, integrity, and customer service, without compare. You are responsible for cleaning trucks, restocking consumables, loading and unloading supplies, making deliveries and pickups of inventory, organizing the yard and warehouse, and ensuring trucks are clean, stocked, and ready for service each day. We are driven by purpose, with a vision to grow in a meaningful way that allows us to continue to impact on our community of veterans and their families. We work for that vision every day and we are looking to add this critical role to the team with someone who is ready to perform at a high level on Day 1.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of truck driving experience preferred (CDL license not required, but preferred), and DOT medical card must be obtained prior to commencing employment
  • A valid driver's license and safe clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, to be familiar with not just traffic laws but rules regarding how often they are required to rest, maximum miles driven and the like.
  • Physical fitness since Service Technicians and Assistant Divers are required to pass a physical exam every two years.
  • Adherence to a background check.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States of America. Some of the job sites that we support require U.S. American citizenship and a clean criminal history in order to access their sites.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain service trucks, equipment, and work areas.
  • Restock consumables, supplies, and inventory on service vehicles.
  • Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Make deliveries and pickups of inventory, parts, and materials as needed.
  • Organize and maintain the yard, warehouse, and storage areas.
  • Inspect trucks and equipment to ensure readiness for daily service operations.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
