About The Position

Clean Energy is dedicated to transforming the transportation industry by reducing pollution through the use of natural gas fuel. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and Liquid to Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) fueling equipment. The technician will identify necessary repairs and maintenance, generate service orders, and ensure stations are customer-ready by cleaning equipment and emptying trash containers. Responsibilities also include assisting with PMs and rebuilds under supervision, filling in for other technicians, and occasionally providing information to the public or customers. This position collaborates with maintenance planners, field service support, and management to ensure timely issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and/or electronics skill required.
  • High School Diploma (preferred) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and perform minor to moderate repairs on CNG, LNG, and LCNG fueling equipment, including compressors, dispensers, priority panels, dryers, and storage tanks.
  • Identify corrective action and/or proactive maintenance service actions required on CNG/LNG/LCNG equipment.
  • Generate service orders for completion or assignment to higher-level technicians.
  • Ensure assigned stations are operationally prepared for customers by cleaning and wiping down equipment and emptying trash containers.
  • Assist with PMs and rebuilds as secondary manpower under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Fill in for other technicians as required within the region.
  • Provide information and assistance to the public or Clean Energy Contracted customers.
  • Work closely with maintenance planners, field service support, field technicians, and/or Operations management to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition according to standard operating procedures and manufacturer repair manuals.
  • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs under the direction of senior technicians.
  • Make scheduled inspections of CNG, LNG, and/or LCNG fueling locations and equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and/or electrical components, devices, and equipment.
  • Clean and maintain fueling locations.
  • Drive to or between company sites to perform job responsibilities.
  • Update and document all activity, service orders, work performed, and recommendations in the D365 Clean Energy Field Service Automation (FSA) software.
  • Maintain all fueling-related equipment and structures in accordance with manufacturer requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide coverage at other stations in neighboring states as required.
  • Be available to be on-call 24/7 outside of normal business hours.
  • Be available during off-duty hours as required, including potential overtime hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
