About The Position

The Leadman will take a lead role including job scoping, troubleshooting, communication with customers and internal personnel, parts liaison and general coordination of the completion of service jobs. Become familiar with the proper operation and application of equipment that we sell and support and be able to assist customers and other technicians. Perform hands-on inspections of machines with customers and our own product support personnel when required. Perform and or assist with new machine pre-delivery and assembly when required. Travel to customer’s job site when required (including off-hours) to troubleshoot machine problems. Attend manufacturer training as required. Assist in training of new technicians. Complete projects as assigned by the branch Service Manager or Regional Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs
  • Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs
  • Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to travel overnight periodically for product training or company related business
  • Must pass background check, employment physical and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • A 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred
