About The Position

The ICEE Company is a leader in the frozen beverage industry, offering a comprehensive frozen package and service network. As the largest subsidiary of J&J Snack Foods, ICEE provides branded snack foods to foodservice and retail supermarket outlets. Under the supervision of operations leadership, Service Technicians are held to a high standard of service and are required to service all ICEE and restaurant equipment, including Frozen Carbonated and Non-Carbonated dispensers, fountain beverage equipment, ice makers, and juice dispensers. Technicians work with minimal supervision and attend weekly meetings. Team members are provided with a vehicle, uniforms, tools, a cell phone, and a tablet.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical background.
Must possess and maintain a valid Real-ID Driver’s License.
Ability to lift 55 lbs. or more on a regular basis. Occasional lifting in excess of 70 lbs. required.
Willing and able to drive more than 40% of the time.
Must have and wear steel-toed shoes.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of Technical or Vocational school, preferred.

Responsibilities

Receives dispatched service calls as assigned and ensures a prompt response based on estimated time of arrival (ETA).
Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots or diagnoses service problems, and completes repairs as needed.
Checks quality of all products, such as checking syrup levels, changing out flavors, and cleaning around machines.
Maintains inventory and maintenance on equipment, including parts, tools, and the company vehicle.
Reviews service orders and service performed with the respective supervisor.
Keeps supervisor informed of customer concerns, needs, and up-selling opportunities.
Documents all work performed and closes out all activities upon completion.
Clearly communicates with both customers and co-workers.
Performs assigned general warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, rotating product, and shipping and receiving of equipment, parts, and product.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
