About The Position

At El Pollo Loco, a Service Team Member is responsible for providing "Best in Class" customer service from start to finish. This role involves greeting guests with a smile, assembling craveable orders, and helping prep fire-grilled favorites, serving up unforgettable experiences. The position requires working collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards. Key responsibilities include assisting in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures, processing and assembling customer orders efficiently, using suggestive selling to complete the customer experience and increase sales, and accurately handling payment and cash transactions.

Requirements

• Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
• Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures. May include, but not limited to, the preparation/assembly of various menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa/dressing, and condiment packing.
• Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Use suggestive selling to complete the customer experience and increase sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
