About The Position

At El Pollo Loco, the Service Team Member is essential for delivering "Best in Class" customer service from start to finish. This role involves greeting guests with a smile, assembling craveable orders, and assisting with the preparation of fire-grilled favorites, thereby bringing the brand's flavor to life and serving up unforgettable experiences. Key responsibilities include helping prepare delicious food, maintaining cleanliness, greeting and assisting customers with their orders, processing orders efficiently, utilizing suggestive selling techniques, and accurately handling payment and cash transactions. Requirements

• Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
• Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures. May include, but not limited to, the preparation/assembly of various menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa/dressing, and condiment packing.
• Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Use suggestive selling to complete the customer experience and increase sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
