About The Position
As a Service Team Member at El Pollo Loco, you are responsible for delivering "Best in Class" customer service from the moment guests arrive until their departure. This role involves greeting guests, accurately assembling orders, and assisting with the preparation of fire-grilled food items. You will be a key part of the team, ensuring unforgettable experiences by maintaining cleanliness, processing orders efficiently, engaging in suggestive selling, and handling payment and cash transactions professionally.
Requirements
- Obtain Food Handler Certification promptly upon hire, adhering to EPL policy and state regulations.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with restaurant team members and management to achieve operational goals, maintain a positive work environment, and uphold company standards.
- Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Continuously strive to meet or exceed customer expectations and satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing food items in strict compliance with company recipes and procedures. May include, but not limited to, the preparation/assembly of various menu items, shredding chicken, preparing salsa/dressing, and condiment packing.
- Process and assemble customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Use suggestive selling to complete the customer experience and increase sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
