As a Service Team Member, you'll be the face of Meijer and play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience. Your responsibilities may include: Delivering friendly, human-centered customer service Assisting customers at checkout and the Service Desk Processing returns and resolving customer concerns Supporting self-checkout and front-end operations Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment Collecting carts and assisting customers with carry-outs Working as part of a team to keep the store running smoothly Helping create memorable shopping experiences every day Be the reason someone leaves with a smile. As a Cashier, you are the last touchpoint a customer has before leaving our store. You'll: Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly In short: you'll turn everyday moments into meaningful moments.

Requirements

You’re 18 years of age or older
You enjoy working with people and providing great service
You’re comfortable learning and using technology
You listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized
You’re dependable, detail‑oriented, and eager to help
You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
