About The Position

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Service Team Lead (Power/Hvac/Temperature Control) based in Columbia,NC . You’ll lead, supervise, and provide hands-on technical expertise to a team in the operational execution, service, and maintenance of natural gas solutions at the South Valley or Peru Ridge customer sites. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers’ worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • A valid driver's license
  • A minimum of 15+ years of hands-on experience working on natural gas power generators, diesel power generators, and/or commercial HVAC equipment and chillers, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • 1-3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity over technical teams.
  • Able to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and address operational issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with various stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic 24/7 operational environment, including night or day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to a team of technicians, including preventive maintenance and certified technicians, ensuring tasks are completed according to standards and schedules.
  • Work independently or alongside other technicians to set up, operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on safety, service quality, and efficiency across all operations during the assigned shift, actively promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Implement and adhere to operational processes and procedures related to inventory, service, repair, reliability, and other site-specific tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for minor improvements and escalate to the Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate with other shifts and internal teams as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Engage with on-site customer representatives for day-to-day operational matters.
  • Contribute to shift reports on site performance, including operational and safety metrics, for review by the Operations Manager.
