The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of overall system as well as technology specific risk areas for optics, electronics, high precision motion stages and servo systems.
  • Ability to work closely with Tech Support, New Product Integration, and Division Engineering and with field data to fully understand how our tools are operating across multiple product divisions to identify, create, and drive hardware and software predictive design requirements and features into tool designs.
  • Working in machine learning and python development.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred degrees are physics, mechanical and electrical engineering

Responsibilities

  • Driving design changes, sometimes fundamental ones, to optimize tool serviceability, cost-of-service, as well as service revenue and profitability through predictive data analytics and AI related initiatives.
  • Influencing designers and designs to include features that will optimize KLA service business: predictability, AI, calibrations and diagnostics, cost of service, reliability, design tolerances, IP protection.
  • Creating prototype hardware and conducting testing both on and off system.
  • Analyzing data and providing recommendations.
  • Leveraging AI development tools to analyze large volumes of data, develop models, and create software features.
  • Designing tools for helping TSE’s, PE’s, CSE’s become more efficient.
