About The Position

The Service Support Specialist is an entry-level position designed to support the service department by recording video multi-point inspections for customer vehicles. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable with technology, enjoys working around vehicles, and is interested in growing within the automotive industry. Previous automotive experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position; previous automotive experience is not required.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, apps, and basic technology.
  • Ability to take clear videos and speak professionally while recording.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to learn about vehicles, service recommendations, and dealership operations.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the service department for extended periods of time.
  • Willingness to perform other shop support duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in the automotive industry.
  • Previous customer service, retail, or shop experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicles or vehicle maintenance is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Record clear and professional video multi-point inspections on customer vehicles using a phone, tablet, or approved device.
  • Capture vehicle condition, inspection findings, and recommended service needs through video.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally while recording videos for customers.
  • Explain additional service recommendations in a respectful, customer-friendly manner.
  • Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and management to support the customer service process.
  • Assist with uploading, sending, or organizing inspection videos through dealership systems.
  • Learn and follow dealership processes, safety standards, and service department procedures.
  • Support technicians, advisors, and management with general shop support tasks as assigned.
  • Help keep the service department, shop areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
