This role leads TRUMPF's service delivery across California by managing 50 in-house and field service technicians. The Service Supervisor will coordinate end-to-end maintenance and repair operations, serve as the primary customer contact, and drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, operational rigor, technical acumen, and a customer-first mindset.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in service operations, field service coordination, or technical service management (industrial machinery, machine tools, or lasers)
  • Strong technical acumen and TRUMPF service process knowledge
  • Proven leadership in fast-paced environments with escalation management
  • Data-driven approach to performance management and KPIs
  • Advanced MS Office; familiarity with ERP and logistics systems
  • Excellent communication and customer-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a mixed team of 50 service technicians
  • Plan and schedule service missions, optimizing skills, travel, and resources
  • Prioritize cases by machine criticality and customer impact
  • Coordinate tools, parts, documentation, and safety compliance
  • Serve as primary contact for customers and sales on service requests and escalations
  • Drive fast technical resolutions and manage critical incident communications
  • Collaborate with sales teams and TRUMPF technology managers
  • Monitor and improve service KPIs; drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure team compliance with TRUMPF standards and best practices
  • Own customer satisfaction and profitability of California operations
