The Service Specialist supports all aspects of Service Department operations, including unit inventory procedures, pre-delivery inspection (PDI), and delivery orientation. This role involves assisting customers with service or warranty repairs for boats, motors, trailers, or ATV/UTVs, and occasionally helping with the sale of parts and accessories. Key responsibilities include ensuring world-class customer service, greeting customers, answering service, warranty, and parts questions, and assisting with the receiving and inspection of new units. The specialist maintains unit inventory status, prepares for unit deliveries, conducts final PDI, and inspects detailing. They also prepare Owner’s Delivery Packets, explain unit operations to customers, and assist with documenting concerns on repair orders and creating work orders. The role involves staying updated on warranty policies, assisting with warranty repair authorization, processing parts sales, accepting payments, and reconciling daily reports. The specialist works closely with management to ensure units are not released until full payment is received and maintains a clean work area.
