About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Service Shop Technician and Delivery associate. This role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and assembling customer and store equipment such as bicycles, exercise machines, snowboards, skis, hockey skates and sticks, baseball gloves and bats, golf clubs, racquet sports equipment, archery arrows, and paintball markers. The position also includes ordering repair parts, filling CO2 and compressed air tanks, maintaining records, and assisting with deliveries. Scheels is willing to train the right candidate, valuing a great attitude and mechanical ability.

Requirements

A great attitude and mechanical ability is all the experience needed.
The ideal candidate must possess a clean, valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain DOT certification and meet Scheels driving standards.
Mechanical knowledge is preferred.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.

Responsibilities

Accurately diagnose and provide maintenance and assembly of customer and store equipment.
Order and follow up with vendors for repair parts.
Safely fill CO2 and compressed air tanks for paintball markers.
Maintain accurate and detailed records for store and customer equipment.
Assist with delivering and loading customer equipment and merchandise at the store and to customer residences.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Must be flexible to work assigned schedules between 9 am and 9 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 11 am and 6 pm on Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
