About The Position

The Service Quality Consultant will provide, develop, modify, and enhance complex software applications and databases that automate business processes, streamline business operations, and improve efficiencies for Texas A&M Engineering People Office using Laserfiche ECM Software. The Engineering People Office's top priority is providing quality service and guidance to Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) and Texas A&M University College of Engineering (COE) employees to create a great work environment and to help advance the strategic goals of our organization. Engineering HR supports employees and retirees in a variety of areas including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, payroll, classification & compensation, benefits, retirement, leave administration, compliance, immigration, and employee relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript / jQuery.
  • Knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Laserfiche, Qualtrics, Business Objects, Workday, and/or other relevant systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and enhance complex software applications and databases that automate business processes, streamline business operations, and improve efficiencies for Texas A&M Engineering People Office using Laserfiche ECM Software.
  • Develop specifications based on input from Engineering People Office team, identify business processes, develop application requirements, and create design documents.
  • Design, develop, and document Laserfiche electronic forms and business processes.
  • Complete reports and summaries for management and users including project status reports, problem reports, progress summaries, and metrics.
  • Serve as Laserfiche liaison to Information Technology.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, training, and support for Laserfiche.
  • Administer and manage Texas A&M Engineering listservs, including regular updates, additions, and removals of subscribers to ensure accurate and up-to-date distribution lists.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues related to the listserv platform, collaborate with IT support teams as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
