About The Position
Crowfoot Hyundai is seeking a Service Porter to join their team. This full-time position involves transporting customers, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles (both customer-owned and inventory), and ensuring vehicles are ready for customers. The role requires physical capability to thoroughly clean vehicles and attention to detail to identify and report any damages.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent customer service skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
Responsibilities
- Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
- Building and grounds maintenance as needed
- Service Department duties
- Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department
- Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
- Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately
- Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
- Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
- Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e. snow removal)
- Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
- Placing signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes
- Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
- Lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc.)
- Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays
- Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary
