At Grubbs Family of Dealerships, our Service Support Specialists are the first impression and the lasting memory for every customer who visits our service drive. This is more than a valet role. It's a front-line position on a high-performing team that values professionalism, hustle, and genuine hospitality.

Requirements

  • Prior valet, porter, or automotive service experience is a plus, but a great attitude and willingness to learn go a long way.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to make customers feel welcome and valued.
  • A professional, polished appearance in compliance with Grubbs dress code standards.
  • Strong situational awareness, knowing who to involve and when to escalate.
  • Physically active role: must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling throughout the day.
  • Responsible, detail oriented, and trustworthy when handling customer and dealership assets.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a Premium Customer Experience: Greet every customer entering the service drive with a warm, professional welcome. Assist customers with their needs and confidently direct them to the right advisor or department. Retrieve vehicles for customers at pickup, waiting at the car and thanking them personally for their business. Install protective coverings (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats) in every vehicle before service begins.
  • Keep Operations Moving: Transport customer and dealership vehicles in and out of the service drive to support customer workflow. Park and retrieve inventory and customer vehicles safely and efficiently. Assist with loaner vehicle preparation and return check-in, ensuring cars are clean, fueled, and ready for the next customer. Support the service team with day to day operational needs as directed by Service Advisors, Service Technicians, and the Service Director.
  • Own the Environment: Maintain a clean, organized service drive and vehicle lot that reflects the Grubbs standard. Keep lots neat and arranged in accordance with dealership display guidelines. Properly dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness throughout the service department. Flag any vehicle condition concerns discovered during final inspection to management before customer delivery.
