About The Position

Alliance Dealer Solutions is seeking a self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual to serve as a Service Porter Supervisor for our dealership partner. As a Service Porter Supervisor, you play a vital role in ensuring the service department operates efficiently and smoothly. This leadership position is a significant step towards future opportunities, demonstrating accountability, efficiency, and stellar communication. You are responsible for assisting your leader in making sure everything within your power runs seamlessly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Use eye contact and smile when speaking to others.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with your team and clients.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and be organized in your tasks.
  • Help build the team’s knowledge on claim prevention.
  • Develop strong rapport with both your team and clients.
  • Neat and professional appearance is required.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a physical presence on the service drive to ensure a high-quality appearance.
  • Acknowledge and assist all vehicles with a smile and a friendly greeting ("Good morning, afternoon, or evening").
  • Properly log all pick-up requests from advisors and cashiers as needed.
  • Maintain a steady traffic flow on the service drive, using cones for any lane closures if necessary. Key control is paramount.
  • Monitor porter return times when assisting guests with customer pick-up to ensure a quick and memorable experience.
  • Assign downtime duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, maintaining the lounge, cleaning, etc.
  • Rotate lunch breaks to ensure the drive is always properly staffed.
  • Assist with supervising the service department to ensure guests receive their vehicles in a timely manner as promised.
  • Oversee and manage the service porter team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to dealership standards.
  • Perform other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the dealership.
