About The Position

As a Service Plumber, you’ll perform diagnostic repair service calls, addressing customer concerns and ensuring they feel confident in the service provided. You will be responsible for identifying and fixing plumbing issues, acting as a plumbing detective to resolve problems effectively. Larger repairs, such as water heater replacements or re-pipes, will be handed off to specialized plumbing installers, allowing you to focus on your core strengths and move to the next service call.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, filtration, gas lines, gas logs, and drain cleaning
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers
  • Knowledge of drain machines, camera and locator equipment
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language
  • Be a great communicator, patient and kind about explaining things to customers.
  • Be able to break down complicated technical things in ways that make sense.
  • Have three years or more of experience in plumbing.
  • Be no stranger to a tricky plumbing diagnostic or repair.
  • Not be afraid of tricky plumbing problems, and be competitive.
  • Know when to recommend installs to customers instead of repairs.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid North Carolina Plumbing Contractor (P1 or P2)
  • Valid North Carolina Journeyman license
  • Valid South Carolina LLR Plumbing Contractor License
  • Valid South Carolina MASC Master Plumber Certification
