About The Position

Diamond Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical in Garden City Idaho is looking for a Plumbing Service Apprentice eager to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade. You’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals while contributing to the quality and safety of every job site. The company is open to relocating the right candidate. After 90 days of employment and good standing with the company, a net $3,000 sign-on bonus will be rewarded to those candidates hired who have an active Journeyman License.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
4th year apprentice school or Journeyman license
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Able to pass background check and drug screening
Willingness to enroll in an accredited Plumbing Program

Responsibilities

Support licensed plumbers in installations, repairs, and maintenance
Learn to safely and confidently operate professional drain cleaning equipment
Perform drain cleaning and hydro jetting services as needed
Diagnose plumbing issues accurately and efficiently in residential and commercial settings
Skilled in identifying, clearing and preventing common drain stoppages
Cut, measure, and fit piping and fixtures
Perform high-quality repairs, replacements, and upgrades on plumbing systems and fixtures
Troubleshoot water heaters, piping systems, valves, fixtures, and drainage systems
Understand plumbing codes and safety standards
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Attend required training and safety meetings
Perform physically demanding work throughout the day in a variety of weather conditions
Accurately document work performed, materials used, and job notes in company software
Provide world class customer experience. Provide clear explanations of plumbing issues, repair options, and recommended solutions
