About The Position

Dallas Mechanical Group (DMG) is a full-service provider of commercial HVAC construction, service, and maintenance solutions. DMG is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., and is one of the largest, best-respected HVAC contractors in Texas. DMG is experienced in the installation and service of all types of commercial HVAC systems, offering complete mechanical capabilities. We are one of the few contractors in the industry that offers complete in-house engineering and design capabilities in all three MEP disciplines. In-house engineering helps provide us with tighter control over project quality, budgets, and schedules. Our team has completed projects all across Texas, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and more. The Service Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in commercial and industrial buildings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience as a plumber, Journeyman required
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in commercial and industrial environments
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Valid drivers license and Plumbing License
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex systems
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and abilities.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
  • Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
  • Install supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
  • Assemble fittings and valves for installation
  • Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
  • Perform scheduled maintenance
  • Service and repair domestic plumbing appliances and fixtures
  • Adhere to safety standards and building codes
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes
