About The Position

Western Express is seeking a Service Planner to effectively respond to incoming driver requests, providing prompt and professional assistance with questions and concerns. This role involves opening and managing daily repair orders, coordinating necessary repairs with technicians, and maintaining a courteous, positive, and professional attitude. The Service Planner must demonstrate strong communication and computer skills, the ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced shop environment, and complete required documentation accurately and on time. This position requires in-person, in-office attendance due to its collaborative nature and the need for spontaneous idea generation, execution, and expedited responses.

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
Working knowledge of Transman is preferred; experience with VRMS coding is a plus.
Strong communication skills are essential.

Excellent verbal communication skills with drivers, team members, technicians, and supervisors.
