About The Position

Wynn Odom Ford [https://mail.zoho.com/zm/#mail/folder/inbox] is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can maintain high customer satisfaction, mentor a team of technicians and advisors, and ensure the shop runs at peak efficiency. While Ford experience is a significant plus, it is not a requirement for the right candidate who possesses a strong background in automotive service management and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive service management or as a senior service advisor.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency with DMS (Dealer Management System) software is essential.
  • Mindset: A customer-first attitude with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" approach to problem-solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Brand Knowledge: Previous experience with Ford Lincoln systems and warranty procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Department Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the service department, including workflow management and staff scheduling.
  • Customer Experience: Maintain a high "Fix It Right the First Time" rate and address customer concerns with professional, proactive solutions.
  • Financial Performance: Drive profitability by managing labor rates, monitoring expenses, and meeting monthly performance goals.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and motivate service advisors and technicians; ensure all staff stay up-to-date on Ford STARS certification [https://mail.zoho.com/zm/#mail/folder/inbox] and training requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all Field Service Actions [https://mail.zoho.com/zm/#mail/folder/inbox] (Safety Recalls and Compliance Alerts) are handled according to manufacturer standards.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure seamless coordination for repairs.
