About The Position

Nextran Truck Centers is hiring a Service Manager for our Quincy, Illinois location. This is a hands-on role responsible for leading daily operations in a busy heavy-duty truck shop, overseeing a team of 9 technicians. The Service Manager will drive shop performance, develop technicians, and deliver a strong customer experience. The company is an established, growing network in the heavy-duty truck industry with family-centered values and a commitment to professional growth.

Requirements

• 7+ years of heavy-duty truck/diesel experience
• 3-5 years of service leadership or shop management experience
• Strong understanding of shop operations, billing, and efficiency metrics
• Proven ability to lead teams and improve performance
• Valid driver's license with a clean record
• Drug, physical, background, and MVR testing required

• CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shop operations, workflow, and technician productivity
• Own P&L performance, including labor sales, efficiency, and profitability
• Lead, coach, and develop service advisors and diesel technicians
• Ensure quality repairs, warranty compliance, and OEM standards
• Build strong relationships with fleet and external customers
