About The Position

The primary objective as a member of store management is to provide our customers with quality team service, clean and organized surroundings in accordance to the company standards and instructions; sharing the responsibility and accountability for sales performance, productivity of staff, loss prevention, merchandising, safety and operating functions of the store while in charge. This role requires exercising good judgment and initiative to supervise and direct the activities of the store, maintaining a sense of urgency and systematically meeting all deadlines while delivering quality team service. The Service Manager must be able to organize work for a smooth workflow, communicate effectively, coordinate staffing schedules, and direct and train employees. A cooperative and professional demeanor is expected at all times, maintaining good working relationships and following directives. The ability to learn and understand the accurate use of all equipment, policies, and procedures is essential, as is the ability to recognize urgent situations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 months of supervisory experience (as a key carrier, shift lead, team lead) in a similar retail environment or a minimum of 6 weeks of experience as sales/cashier at Melrose.
  • If a sales/cashier or shoe associate with less than 45 days of employment with Melrose, they must have a minimum of 2 months of prior supervisory experience that can be verified.
  • Must fill out promotion request form and submit to HR.
  • Bronze & Silver Stores - Must be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • If still in high school must be a senior.
  • Gold & Platinum Stores - Must be a minimum of 18 years and out of high school.
