About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our successful turn-key operation at Ottawa Toyota. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the service department, including personnel management, training, performance monitoring, and ensuring a professional and motivating work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive service operations and excellent leadership skills.
Requirements
- Familiarity with all aspects of the service department.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous management experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Hire, manage, supervise, and monitor the performance of service department personnel, including technicians and advisors.
- Provide training on administrative policies and procedures.
- Encourage technicians to keep their skills current through training on new systems and components offered by the manufacturer.
- Maintain a professional work environment and motivate employees.
- Conduct daily tech meetings, manage efficiency and dispatching, MPI’s and hours per RO.
