About The Position

Beztak, a national Real Estate Development, Construction, and Property Management company, is seeking to hire bright, dynamic leaders who have a passion for service and a commitment to excellence. This position is responsible for supervising their maintenance team to ensure the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The role involves overseeing building space allocation, communication services, and facility expansion, as well as planning budgets and schedules for facility modifications. The Service Manager will inspect construction and installation progress, motivate and hold their team accountable for excellent customer service and high-quality, timely repairs. This role also includes performing various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment. Responsibilities extend to hiring team members, providing continuous learning and development, and documenting various unit repairs and system maintenance. The position requires working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, and possessing effective interpersonal skills. The role may require operating a company or personal vehicle for job duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or related Vocational Training and/or equivalent work experience
  • HVAC knowledge and EPA certification preferred
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
  • Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress.
  • Motivate and hold accountable a team to provide excellent customer service and high-quality repairs in a timely manner.
  • Performs various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment.
  • Responsible for the hiring of team members and providing continuous learning and development of their team.
  • Documents replacement of appliances, carpet, vinyl, water heaters, condensers, etc., in all units.
  • Tracks systems repairs, apartment painting (full paint or touch-up), refrigerator coil cleaning, and other major repairs.
  • Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills.
  • Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties.
