This position is responsible for supervising their maintenance team to ensure the property, grounds, and equipment are safe, orderly, and visibly appealing. The role involves overseeing building space allocation, communication services, and facility expansion, as well as planning budgets and schedules for facility modifications. The Service Manager will inspect construction and installation progress, motivate and hold their team accountable for excellent customer service and high-quality, timely repairs. This role also includes performing various duties such as building repairs, snow removal, or groundskeeping to provide residents with a clean and well-maintained living environment. Responsibilities extend to hiring team members, providing continuous learning and development, and documenting various unit repairs and system maintenance. The position requires working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, and possessing effective interpersonal skills. The role may require operating a company or personal vehicle for job duties.
